Pyeongchang is one of the counties in Gangwon Province, in the east of Korea. Located near both the sea and the mountains, it’s been attracting visitors from over the country in summer and winter holiday seasons. Nowadays Pyeongchang is growing into even more popular region serving as an international venue for sport events.

As you may know, 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang is beginning this week. And since 2014, JS Cup U12 which is an international youth football cup has been held in Pyeongchang, as well. Pyeongchang JS Cup U12 is a friendly tournament for youth football clubs over the world initiated by the famous former football player Ji-Sung Park to promote youth football.

JS Cups organised by Bridge International

Bridge International was the organiser of Pyeongchang JS Cup U12 in 2017 and has been organising Suwon JS Cup in 2015, 2016 and 2018. Suwon JS Cup has the same goal as Pyeongchang’s but it is a bigger tournament between youth national teams instead of individual clubs. The next Suwon JS Cup is going to be held this year after the Winter Olympics - from 18 to 22 April 2018. And the next Pyeongchang JS Cup will probably be in summer. We hope the upcoming Winter Olympics will go well and end in great success, so we take over the excitement and the energy in the beautiful county!
